Rimi Yola, a village under Shira/Yana Local Government Area of Bauchi State, had long been grappling with the lack of clean and safe drinking water. The Foundation had previously visited the community on Friday, July 7, 2023, for a reconnaissance survey, and now, the fruition of their efforts brings immense joy and relief to the community.

During the commissioning, the elated residents of Rimin Yola expressed their deep gratitude to Allah for blessing them with this life-saving well, made possible through the generous aid of Gadi Care Foundation. A resident, while speaking during the event, shared how they had spent a lifetime waiting for support but were repeatedly disappointed, especially by politicians who made false promises during campaigns and later forgot about them after winning elections.

The resident’s heartfelt testimonial shed light on the long-standing challenges the community had faced, and the Foundation’s unwavering commitment now fulfilled their aspirations for clean water. The community members expressed their immense appreciation to Hajiya Fatima Garba and Gadi Care Foundation for coming to their aid and restoring hope to their lives.

The head of the community, in his address, hailed Fatima Garba and Gadi Care Foundation for their life-saving intervention, emphasizing the significance of this borehole in providing clean water for both the community and their animals. He honored Hajiya Fatima Garba with the titles “Gimbiyar Rimi Yola” and “Uwar Marayun Katanga” as a symbol of their gratitude and appreciation.

In another poignant speech, a comrade from the community named Comr. Abdulrazak Saleh, who played a crucial role in guiding Gadi Care Foundation throughout the project, urged the Foundation to continue their support, particularly in the area of education.

In her response, the President, Hajiya Fatima Garba, expressed her heartfelt thanks for the esteemed titles bestowed upon her by the community. She also assured the residents that their well-being remains a top priority.
